Today we're with Rachel of the scrumdiddly-dumptious blog, Vintage Folly. A girl after EE's heart, Rachel rather loves the Christmas time so have a read of her festive interview below!
Hi Rachel! Give us the lowdown on Vintage Folly...
I started blogging on mine and my Fiance’s wedding site www.rachandphill.com as a way of keeping friends and family up to date and involved in our wedding plans.
I loved it! Blogging about our progress became as much fun as the process itself.
Perhaps fearful of my sanity post-wedding, my lovely Phill created www.vintagefolly.com for me.
Initially the blog was intended as an online journal but has quickly developed into something of an online magazine, as people began to request patterns and recipes for the things I blogged about making. I’ve had my blog for two months now and it is growing rapidly in popularity.
I blog about the things I like. Food, family, creativity, vintage clothing and images; living, laughing and loving!
I do it for fun, if people enjoy reading what I write then fantastic! I get a real kick from seeing my numbers going up and I’m thrilled every single time someone takes time out of their day to comment.
And your favourite EE piece is?
My favourite Eclectic Eccentricity piece is ‘Like Peas in a Pod’, which is handy as it is the prize in the competition you have asked me to hold.
I love the quirky humour of this piece and the fact that it features something which is not conventionally beautiful! I’ve heard of a lot of things being used as accessories, but vegetables? And yet somehow, it works.
The colour, length and style all appeal to my love for anything vintage.
It's Christmas time! Which Crimbo choon-age are you listening to right now?
I am a BIG fan of Christmas so this is a very difficult question for me!!
Every Christmas my Mum would play Wizzard on her old record player as we decorated our tree. This might not be the most vintage or classic Christmas song but it reminds me of my childhood. I’m almost ashamed to say it but so does Cliff Richard’s Mistletoe and Wine :-S
What will you be wearing for Christmas parties this season?
RED! I am a huge champion of the red dress and I have many! Failing that, I shall wear a black sparkly number! Whatever I wear I shall do it with killer heels and beautiful accessories.
And finally.... we're well nosey. Who would you choose to kiss under the mistletoe?!
I am very nearly a ‘smug-married’ so I would have to say my beautiful husband to be, Phill. That said, Christmas is a time for sharing and I tend to put mistletoe over my front door, so that anyone, from the postman to our neighbour may well be lucky enough to receive a great big kiss!
Thanks Rachel! Now go over to Vintage Folly for your chance to win a Like Peas In A Pod necklace!
