We asked them some very probing questions about festive choons and mistletoe moments (our interviewing skills will one day win us awards, we are sure) and here's what the lovely ladies had to say!
We are a best-friend design duo Rhi & Lauren, sharing adventures and misdemeanors from our home Twee Towers, and documenting our design process for our She Dressed in Black collection and line of original prints. We love The Beatles, Outer Space, collars, creativity, fringes and anything Rose flavoured (particularly tea!)
Which is your favourite EE piece?
We both love the Sew Much To Do Sewing Machine Necklace – as it is remarkably relevant, as we’re embarking on creating our first vintage inspired womenswear collection in the Spring after launching our ‘He Dressed in Black’ men’s accessories line this Autumn – we literally have ‘Sew much to do’!
What is your favourite Christmas song?
For all we cherish the classics and wouldn’t be without our Phil Spector ‘A Christmas Gift for You’ album nor our copy of ‘A Very She & Him Christmas’ (which has been spinning constantly since we got it on the 1st of November!
Our favourite Christmas song, is this delightful tune ‘It’s Christmas and I hate you!’ from the adorable Josh Weller and enchanting Paloma Faith - despite this song’s seemingly anti-christmas vibe we absolutely adore it!
What will you be wearing for Christmas parties this season?
Our favourite pieces include a glittery polka-dotted black velvet skater style dress from Topshop, a slinky sparkley textured number from River Island teamed with She Dressed in Black staples: pretty lacy collars, sky scraping heels, retro flicked eye liner and lashings of red lipstick.
Who would you choose to kiss under the mistletoe?!
Lauren, would of course choose her boyfriend James, however if the opportunity for a quick kiss with Julian Casablancas (or Martin Freeman) arose she wouldn’t say no. Rhi would quite happy to see mistletoe over Matt Smith as Doctor Who’s head (it’s the bowtie that does it!) … or maybe Alan Rickman…
