Here at EE, we like science. Specifically, we really like space. I grew up wanting to work for NASA (I even studied astrophysics at university) but life has a funny way of working out and I found myself making jewellery instead. In light of this, it's probably not a surprise that I found a way of mixing the two - space jewellery!
Now, the shuttle programme in particular always captured my imagination. It began in 1981 and came to an end last year after 30 years of glorious highs and heartbreaking lows. No one can deny the magnitude of the achievements made by the shuttle programme - the Hubble and International Space Station? Yeah, the shuttles did that. Just another day at work for the shuttle peeps. I was lucky enough to go visit the Kennedy Space Center in 2009 to watch the Endeavour launch only they brought the launch forward by one day. The day we flew in. We had a really awesome view of the launch pad as our plane came into Orlando International, so it was A MASSIVE SHAME that the shuttle had left 3 hours previously.
It's taken a few years, but I'm gradually getting over it.
So - space jewellery! Here it is:

When Follies opened it's doors down the picturesque Lanes in Norwich, it was a little bit of love at first sight for us here at EE. If you're one of our Norwich peeps, you're most likely already a Follies fan too so hurrah! We're now stocked in glorious Follies!
Follies has a large selection of our best sellers so you can have a play in person, before you buy. Have fun shopping! Now for photos (there are a few, it's a boot-iful place....)

It's fair to say that EE *LOVES* Instagram. It's a bit of an addiction. So many pretty pretty retro pretty filters (which are pretty) which turns every camera phone picture into a piece of art. What's not to love? So, you should come follow us, we're at @eejewellery. We like to consider it our daily photo chronicle of everything EE.
Which is a fancy way of saying that we include lots of pictures of cats.
Even better news! Instagram is now available for Android users! Get Instagramming, people.

Tomorrow sees the launch of The National Gallery's 'Turner Inspired: In The Light of Claude' exhibition and to celebrate, we were asked to create an exclusive line of maritime pieces. Cue lots of compasses, ships, telescopes and fun things.
This is what we came up with:

Here at EE we have a lot of treasures. In fact, we pride ourselves on our plethora of perfect presents. We've devised a gift guide list based around your giftee's profession (*ahem* this may or may not have involved some very serious discussion on the role of jewellery in your chosen career) and hopefully this will help you pick out that perfectumondo present!
We start the list with...
ASTRONOMER
This is easy. Anything with stars on. Try...
Seeing Stars necklace and Starry Starry Night bracelet
BEE KEEPER
This one is also pretty straight forward, we recommend anything with bees on. For example...
Oh Beehive Yourself!, Honey Honey, The Birds and the Bee
CLOCK WATCHER (PROFESSIONAL)
Watches the clock religiously? This will help. A pocket watch.
Some Times pocket watch
The Night Watch and Across The Miles
GARDENER
Options here for the straight forward flower kind or if they dabble in growing their own vegetables too.
Where The Wild Roses Grow, In Bloom, Like Peas in a Pod
HAIRDRESSER/ HABERDASHER
Actually, you're a little spoilt for choice, it appears EE has a penchant for scissors, as does the lady in your life. Try one/ any combination of the following:
From top: Delicate Pursuits, A Cut Above, A Crafty Touch
IN THE BAND (general musical-ness)
Choose something which makes a noise and let their musical genius do the rest. (Depending upon the level of musical genius, some kind of protective earwear may also be required.)
Make a Song and Dance, Play A Song For Me
INTERNATIONAL LADY OF BUSINESS
This lady has to travel a lot for business. Now, that may be via 1st Class British Airways or the Number 7 from Lakenham, it doesn't really matter, she's got her eyes on the prize and the world is her oyster.
Cue world:
PALEONTOLOGIST
Ah, the dream job of anybody from the Jurassic Park generation. Luckily, we can provide T Rex, Brontosauraus, Stegosaurus, and Triceratops.
(DISCLAIMER: yes, technically they're not 'Brontosaurus' anymore but they've already taken away Pluto so Bronty stays.)
(DISCLAIMER #2. To avoid any disappointment on Christmas day, please be aware that when we say we can provide these dinosaurs, we don't mean real ones.)
PHOTOGRAPHER
Does the lady in question accessorize with an SLR? That probably gets heavy, try her on some camera jewellery instead.
PIGEON FEEDER
Are you sure?
PIRATE
Awesome. Wouldn't want to cross this lady then. Best make sure you get the right present else you'll be walking the plank (possibly more dangerous if you live near the sea or a large pond.)
You Lily Livered Scoundrel, Why Did She Have To Be The Captain's Daughter
SPY
She already knows what you've bought her.
Alternatively, you may know best afterall. SHOP HERE > www.eclecticeccentricity.co.uk (we'll gift box it for you!)
